We proudly shine a light on the enigmatic artist Marco Corbelli, whose artistic journey began in the early 90s under the pseudonym Marco Rotula. His early fanzines—The Pleasure Agony , Sick , and Murders — delved into haunting and introspective themes that would define his career: sadism, madness, and, most importantly, death. Corbelli’s music, characterized by its industrial and dark electronic elements, resonates with a sense of despair and melancholy, mirroring the profound emotional depths he explored throughout his work.

In 1993, propelled by his obsessions, Corbelli ventured into music, establishing the Slaughter Productions label and creating the Atrax Morgue project. Drawing inspiration from pioneers like The Sodality , Whitehouse , and Brighter Death Now , Corbelli’s raw sonic explorations began with the release of In Search Of Death and continued with a series of impactful cassettes.
Utilizing minimal equipment, including the Sequential Circuits Six-Trak and a voice effect, Corbelli poured his emotional turmoil and psychological explorations into a soundscape that embodies decay and anxiety. His work conveys a visceral analysis of death, transforming it into a powerful manifestation of sound—a “sonic equivalent of regulating the blood flow through a severed jugular.”

With these new reissues, fans of electronic noise can once again immerse themselves in Atrax Morgue’s chillingly innovative discography. These releases, just restored and remastered with the consent of the Corbelli family, continue to affirm his significant place in the world of experimental and industrial music.
As Marco once stated, “So, obsessions have found a way to come out. Through violent and cold analogue electronic sounds, and my own voice.” We invite you to experience the profound depths of his work and reflect on the haunting beauty of his artistic legacy
